Mi Casa

You don't need to spend big $ on decorating your crib, just take stuff you already got, and get creative
There are ones who collect jewelery.. Use it to decorate ur crib

Trust me there's more

Then are the ones who hoard clothes

Followed by shoe hoarding

Which may lead to a drinking problem
What do u do with all the empty bottles?

Here's a dekko at how I used my trinkets to decorate my living space

Then one fine day you notice you have too many empty boxes! So yo go ahead and glue magazine pages to them and they can hold all your junk, while looking quite kitschy

Everyone needs to have celing thingy's!

Especially if you have high ceilings, they look  supercute!

There's always a favourite blanky for the winter months while you weep during intervention episodes! Make sure it is a fun print ;)

And tell your man he needs to put his shoes away! Pronto!

Then there are the artists! Go ahead hang your art!

Even if it isn't that great!

la la la

Hello Lovelies,
Hope everyone ad a fabulous weekend, coz i sure did.. I spent most of my weekend drinking like a fish and being water buffalo in the Jacuzzi ! I know I said ill post some pictures sporting the whole bohemian gypsy look, but it rained all weekend and I was freezing so had my peacoat on the whole time and had to abandon my heeled booties for flats (which in turn were freezing my feet) as I did the major style snafu of wearing heels to walk around in the super sloped Eureka spring streets, hence had to to put on my open flats which i bought along thinking it will be warm in the day and then had to spend the whole day being lectured by Nikhil on functionality vs fashion!phew ! Anyway here are a few pics i managed to take anyway
Halter top- some store in Boston, Jeans- Lee ( Bleached in the tub), Head thingy- Necklace from Forever 21
pinned a necklace in my hair

Peacoat- Pacsun, Tee- thrifted, Jeans- Levis, Flats- Old Navy, Jhola- Bombay Store, Pune
So speaking of bleached denims, Nikhil thought they were too loud (blah blah, what do men know about fashion), they turned out to be quite a show stopper, every girl at the bar asked me where I got them from and all i said is take a pair of old jeans, lay them out in the bath tub and splash bleach all over, leave em out till you get the desired color and Voila!

Here is her awesome blog http://bad-abing-bad-aboom.blogspot.com/ which is going to keep on changing cosmetically because this girl is cuckoo about template designer, fonts, color layout and shit, Trust me, her blog will be as funny, colorful, crazy.. Ermmm.. lets say something like Zach Galifianakis on Mushrooms.. And speaking of Shrooms

Sundays Yawn!

Sundays! As a a jobless person, one would refer to everyday as a Sunday.. But I cant decide how I feel about Sundays. Sunday mornings in our apt are typically cozy, I wake up much later than my boyfriend, who is up and awake on Sunday mornings, all clean shaven, shiny and smelling like his Oak Body wash which i <3. I wake up to him working on his laptop, smoking a cigarette and it is right then, when I crave a cup of tea the most. As the day proceeds we both start getting duller. He gets sad about going to back to work the next day and I am overcome by maddening anxiety about my own unemployment. Sundays evenings mark the end of the week (unlike the beginning for many), for me its only the end of yet another week being wasted and things still being the same and time running out!
View from the Basin Park Balcony Bar
Alright my life isn't really that bad, this weekend was aahmazing, I shopped, watched a ton of really good movies (Lost in Translation, Hurt Locker and the fall), Drank peach Absoulut Vodka with OJ, smoked a strawberry cigar, ate kickass Indian food and had a 1 hour long amusing discussion with Nikhil comparing life to the Bigg Boss show where he said, " Big Boss like life has poetic justice". So for now I'm embarking on a new week, with new perspective and new positivity which has been bursting within me lately. I'm also planning a huge romantic weekend with Nikhil to Eureka Springs where we have booked a cute lil jacuzzi suite at the Basin Park and being the hippie place it is, I will dress to my hippiest, drink coffee at the artist colony, buy silver trinkets and will post my hippie pics with my shiny new dslr! which is another exciting thing to look forward to this week. So until then a really hippie peace out to all you lovelies :-*

How awesome is this guy!

Im super super crazy about Mr. Steve Mccurry's photography! Im sure you guys have heard about the Afghan Girl.. Here is the link to his website http://www.stevemccurry.com/main.php.. I am sooo excited to have my own dslr soon maybe I can take awesome pics like that.. Sigh! Here are a few pics by him that I lourve... Pic Courtesy: Google Images

Hullow!

So I'm doing this I guess! I have been putting this off till I get a spanking new camera so I can go clicky clicky for my fishykitschy! Alright that sounds dumb! So anyway I have ordered my new dslr which should be here soon-ish and Im super pumped about writing, blogging, advising and everything that kids do these days when they blog.
My main reason to start this blog is to beat boredom and share a few DIY and cool ass fashion tips. I graduated in May and moved in with my lover boy in Arkansas. While he's away at work, you can find me rearranging my apt (trying to make it look cool ass), rummaging through my closet, applying-reapplying makeup, watching tv, doing my nails, cooking, working out and everything a jobless person does to kill time ( and looking for jobs of course). This is my journey from a social butterfly to a housewife to a blogger and hopefully to an employed woman soon!
xoxo <3
